Beautiful sexy women have always been used to sell products, and perhaps never more so than on vintage pulp fiction paperbacks.
These women, often in trouble, that adorned these books were in their heyday in the 1950s and 60s.
The inside pages of these collectable paperbacks may now be turning brown but those illustrated covers are much admired and collected.
The artists who painted these covers often signed their work but are generally unknown. However, these covers remain as superb examples of the work of the commercial artists that flourished in the 1950s and 60s.
Vintage paperbacks can make a great collection. However, Hank Janson paperbacks and the Great Pan books are increasingly hard to find.
